I couldn’t sleep. That can be a good thing where creativity ensues, or it can get me into a lot of trouble!
It is past 4 am and I swear I am going to try and go to sleep soon but I thought I would post this first.
A fellow indie Kindle author posted on a public forum some general thoughts on facing reality about his writing career and where it was, or was not going to take him. Many authors chimed in with advice but as I hit 1 am tonight and I was still awake, I realized I wanted to give him more than advice, I wanted to see what I could do to offer a bit of assistance.
So I put my thinking cap on and did my best to create a cover for him.
The first picture is the before and the second is the finished cover. I’m not sure if it’s right for his book or if he will want to use it. We’ll see.
All I can say is that when I am stuck with writing or art or editing, I always appreciate it when someone steps up to help.
Let me know your thoughts. Would the cover entice you to read the book?

I’m impressed by the work you put in.
Thank you for your time. But alas…it isn’t quite what I’m looking for. Heck, I don’t even know what I have in mind which is why my cover has a pair of dollar handcuffs on it. Covers are tough to do. I kind of wasted the summer of 2010 taking pictures trying to find the right ‘look’ myself.
Still…thank you for your efforts. I appreciate it.

I understand Frank. I wish you all the best.
